Bachelorette

Bachelorette parties are commonly filled with various sorts of debauchery, as seen above. As maid (well, matron) of honor for my lovely Natasha come July, it is my duty to plan said event. Needless to say...it will look nothing like the above picture. I do, however, want this to be a super fun night for the leading lady. I looked up some stuff via the all-mighty Google, but I thought I might as well turn it over to the great, and vast, blogging world to see what YOU guys think are some classy, but still super fun ways to spend a bachelorette party!

So hit with me with your best shot, world.

  1. I just had one for my cousin and she didn't want a crazy night. So, we all went out to dinner and then came back to my house. We had snacks and played a couple games... The games were toilet paper lingerie and how well do you know the bride (or something similar to that). It was fun and didn't get crazy. Good Luck!

  2. I'm with you, Alyssa. I am the matron of honor in my friend Beth's wedding coming up in July and need to plan something a little less crazy than is typical for a bachelorette party. I'll be interested to see what ideas come in for you. The other bridesmaids had thought about booking a Pure Romance consultant and/or going to get pedicures or manicures. For my bachelorette, my sister Laura planned for us to get dressed up, scavenger hunt at Glenbrook Mall, dinner at Texas Roadhouse, chocolate and cheese fondue back at the house, small lingerie gifts, and chick flick. It was perfect without being too crazy :)

    1. FONDUE! Oh my word I might have to incorporate that. Absolutely. Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely have to post what we all end up doing.

  3. I've been to three in the last year and all were tame to some extent. My sister is a wino, so we went to a wine bar for dinner in Old Town, then Kazmierz for more wine and we all stayed at a suite and went to the pool the next day.
For a friend's we went to Vegas because she had never been, but we just ate well, saw the sights and hung out by the pool.
This last weekend, I went to one that started at the bride's home for drinks and apps, then went to Sandbar where they got a cabana, so it was out and fun, but the party had private space.
If the attendees can afford it, I love the idea of a girls' weekend, whether it's a staycation or Palm Springs or San Diego. If it's this summer, maybe just a trip up north to escape the heat!
Good luck! I'm sure she'll love whatever it is.

    1. Those all sounds like a seriously good time. We won't be able to really travel for the party, but there will surely be good food and good drinks and loads of fun!
